Next Thursday Night sees the launch of a new book written by a host of North Kerry’s best writers (and designed and printed by Tralee Printing Works!)  – and it’s all in aid of a good cause. Áras Mhuire will benefit from the funds raised by this wonderful anthology. In the word of the North Kerry writers themselves:

Striking a Chord has got to be Number One on your Christmas shopping list this year.  This is a wonderful ad hoc collection of stories and poems gathered from over forty North Kerry writers, including special guest writers Brendan Kennelly, Billy Keane and Fr Pat Moore, as well as five residents of Áras Mhuire community-owned nursing home in Listowel. All the proceeds from the sale of the book will go to Áras Mhuire to improve facilities there.  Striking a Chord costs just 10 Euro and this limited edition will make a wonderful gift for a parent or grandparent at Christmas.  It will make you laugh and cry and will also take you back in time, awaken a memory, indeed strike a chord with everyone who reads it.  You are cordially invited to join us at the launch by Billy Keane of Striking a Chord  on Thursday Nov 10th at 7pm in St. John’s, Listowel, for what we hope will be a very special night.  Entry is free, refreshments will be provided and we look forward to meeting you all.

We at Tralee Printing wish all involved every success with this endeavor and we hope they get all the support they deserve from the lovers of great writing in Kerry and beyond.
